Oscar Muro

Animator and graphic designer from Mexico City, Óscar graduated as an architect. In 2016 with Vero Anaya and Daniel Aviña,  Óscar founded the animation studio Bismuto Estudio. He resides in Mexico City, Mexico.

He has worked as an animator in several short films, including “Anxiety Loops”, directed by Paulina Ziolkowska and “Polingular” from Alexandra Castellanos. His short film “Normal”, won best short at Tlanchana Animation Festival. He has worked in documentaries with his vibrant and quirky animation, such as “Mensaje Interrumpido” and “Fuimos Revolución” from Jaime Fraire. He has been part of the animation exhibitions Bienal de Ilustración (CDMX, 2018), “Dominio de la Luz CCB (CDMX, 2018 and 2022),  Formato Gráfico Interminable (Caracas, Ven. 2017), MatchboxGif  (Houston, EU 2016).
