Evan Goodchild

Evan is a director and editor with a penchant for the underdog’s story. He recently directed and edited the short documentary Reliquary of Blackness, produced by Mass Humanities and is in production on a short documentary on the late painter Nelson Stevens and the AfriCOBRA movement for NEPM. He started his production company Goodchild Media in 2021.

His awards include Best Short Film at the Mad In America International Film Festival and a Webby nomination for podcast editing. He studied film and audio at Emerson College in Boston, has taught documentary filmmaking in both public schools and universities, and lives in Canton, Connecticut with his wife Dani. The Painted Life of Gregory Gillespie is his first feature film.
